Marching series baritone for powerful mobile tones. The Yamaha YBH-301M features a warm, rich tone and powerful projection - making this marching baritone the preferred choice of such groups as the DCI World Champion Cavaliers Drum & Bugle Corps.
The YBH-301M is also ideal for DCI style marching ensembles which have no trombones. Yamaha marching baritones can add a unique voice to your ensembles, with a darker tone than a trombone yet brighter than a euphonium, giving your band a very rich and strong sound. In addition to the above, the 301M is known by many DCI marching ensembles to be a well-balanced instrument, making it easier to play, and easier to maneuver with in formations.

YBH-301M Model Options
Yamaha offers a number of variable options for select instruments.- YBH-301MS - All the same features and specs as YBH-301M; with a custom silver plating for a unique finish

- Honed Valves: The precise fit between valve casings and pistons after honing means no air leakage
- Pressure-formed tubing: Perfectly rounded tubing results in less turbulence and a smoother air flow, thus allowing for an excellent scale and reduced resistance.
- Laser-fused pluzuma welded bell: A high-energy laser fuses the brass together for a virtually seamless bell which allows continuous even vibrations.
- Hand-lapped valves and slides: Hand-lapping valves and slides ensures an absolutely perfect fit and seal between the valve pistons and casing or slide parts. Such a perfect fit helps to achieve smooth air flow and smooth action and improve the response and intonation of the instrument.
- Heavy bracing: All Yamaha marching instruments have heavy bracing throughout so they are more durable at vulnerable points and can withstand marching band.
