The push/pull Tone control provides a passive boost that mimics the rich, overwound pickup sound - with darker highs and increased mids and lows, resulting in a bold and dynamic tone. In positions 2 and 4, an innovative phase shift effect is created by delaying the opposite pickup, offering a unique twist on traditional "in-between" sounds. The RSP20 and RSP20X models are equipped with humbuckers, all of which are custom-designed by Yamaha with powerful Alnico-V magnets.
