Fender American Vintage II 1960 Precision Bass | 3 Color Sunburst

The Fender® American Vintage II series offers exact replications of the revolutionary designs that changed the landscape of music. These instruments feature period-accurate bodies, necks, hardware, premium finishes, year-specific pickups, and superior sound that accurately recreates the Fender craftsmanship and signature tone.

By 1960, the Precision Bass® had incorporated design cues from the Telecaster® and Strat® to create a new, distinct aesthetic. This included a Strat®-style headstock, comfort-contours, pickguard-mounted electronics, 4-saddle bridge, and a 4-ply tortoiseshell pickguard. All of these appointments culminated in a 3-Color Sunburst finish, representing a refined and timeless look for the P-Bass®.

Equipped with a premium alder body, Pure Vintage ‘60 Split-Coil P-Bass pickup, and a substantial “C”-shaped hard rock maple neck partnered with a 7.25”-radius rosewood fingerboard, the American Vintage II 1960 Precision Bass accurately renders the timeless sound and feel of the original.
