John Petrucci's signature Cry Baby Wah, the JP95, is the end result of an extensive personal quest for a perfect wah tone. After using the Cry Baby rack system to painstakingly adjust and refine parameters, John and Dream Theater engineer Richard Chycki (with help from the Cry Baby design team) worked to replicate and perfect John's sound in a single pedal. According to John, this stompbox is capable of producing an "angry, screaming monster" of a tone with unequaled expressive potential. The JP95 includes John's preferred settings for Volume (for gain), Q (for shaping width), and 6-band EQ (100Hz to 3.2KHz) to shape the wah's overall tone. It also provides the option to further tweak settings by removing the bottom plate.
