The Cry Baby EVH Wah was created through a meticulous design process alongside the iconic guitarist, Eddie Van Halen. Eddie shared his "Holy Grail" Cry Baby Wah, a custom model from the 90s that offers a more vocal-like High Q inductor and broadened frequency sweep. Interestingly, Eddie's signature wah style - primarily pin-pointing the mid range of the pedal - had already shaped the pot's resistive element, refining the middle range while augmenting the low-end range. Our reproduction of the worn-in pot and hand-chosen inductor provide the same unparalleled feel and sound of the original while its true hardwire bypass, double bright blue bypass LEDs, and graphics based on the black and yellow-striped guitar from Van Halen II complete the EVH-approved Cry Baby Wah with its own unique voice and look.
