The 5150® Iconic® Series from EVH® offers gigging and recording guitarists the signature tube tone of the renowned EVH 5150III® amplifiers at a more monetarily-accessible price point. This set of amplifiers boast a phenomenal sound and distortion levels inspired by Eddie Van Halen himself.
The EVH team, headed by James Brown, and the 5150® Iconic® Series 15-watt 1x10 combo offer an optimized combination of 6L6 power and a multi-stage hybrid preamp powered by ECC83 tubes. Special internal plywood baffling ensures robust bass response. An exclusive EVH 10” Celestion® speaker is voiced for the preamp circuit, producing crisp cleans and soaring high gain tones with articulation.
The 5150 ICONIC 15W 110 COMBO BLK 120V delivers powerful punch, featuring two distinct channels with an additional voicing for increased versatility. The Green channel has an overdrive button to go from clean tones to more gain, while the Red channel's burn button adds crunchy gain perfect for searing leads. Each channel has its own gain and volume controls for equalizing when changing between the clean and higher gain channels. The control panel also offers shared EQ (Low, Mid and High), plus global resonance and presence knobs for adjusting the low- and high-end sounds and a global reverb control for any desired reverberation and decay.
Other features include a one-button footswitch, effects loop, dual parallel speaker output jacks, and a power switch to reduce wattage, allowing the amp to be cranked without sacrificing tone and keeping noise to a minimum. Additionally, the 1/8” audio in permits use with drum tracks or songs, and the 1/8” emulated cab headphone/recording out offers a faithful all-tube EVH tone for recording or PA system usage.
Sporting distinctive EVH style, the 5150 Iconic Series 15W 1x10 combo is wrapped in either Black or Ivory textured vinyl with a black cloth front grille and features silver and black 5150 and EVH logo badges in the upper left and lower right corners. This all-tube combo is finished off with a brushed aluminum top panel, vintage-style chicken-head knobs and molded black plastic top handle.
