Mesa/Boogie 4x12 Rectifier® cabinets provide two distinct sound and size combinations: traditional and standard. Our traditional 4x12 cabinet has the same width and depth dimensions as the standard, but is three inches shorter. This size difference yields a tighter, focused low-end with a greater emphasis on attack and mid-range. Additionally, the straight cabinet design offers extra internal space, producing slightly more bass and resonance. SLANT and STRAIGHT Recto 4x12 Cabinets offer unique sonic benefits. The SLANT design projects a 'monitor' effect, while the STRAIGHT provides maximum punch and frontal projection. Either way, MESA® Traditional and Standard 4x12 Rectifier Cabinets offer unparalleled clarity, detail and authority. All cabinets are constructed from the finest Void-free, Marine Grade Baltic Birch, with rabbet corners glued and nailed, superior dado joint speaker baffles and braced grilles. Additionally, the grille material is treated with a coating that mellows the top end response.
