The Volsung is the Signature Series guitar by Lars Frederiksen from the iconic punk rock band Rancid. Sporting a stunning new Oxblood Satin finish, this guitar is based on the ESP Viper shape but with a more streamlined body, making it perfect for energetic live performances and extended jam sessions. It boasts a traditional set-neck construction, a 24.75” scale, and a slim u-shaped three-piece mahogany neck. The updated 22-fret design maximizes the sweet spot for the neck pickup. Other features include a Macassar ebony fingerboard with extra-jumbo frets, Luminlay glow-in-the-dark side markers, and white binding that extends around the headstock. This guitar also comes equipped with a TonePros locking TOM bridge and tailpiece, Gotoh tuners, and Lars' signature EMG pickups, the LF-DMF. These passive pickups have a ceramic magnet in the bridge and an Alnico V in the neck
