The Seymour Duncan® Magic Touch-mini™ / Alnico II Pro™ Custom pickups provide a full range of tonal clarity. The Magic Touch-mini™ in the neck position adds extra body and articulation, while the Alnico II Pro™ Custom in the bridge position offers clarity, twang, and a rich mid-range bark. The bridge pickup is carefully configured to perfectly complement the neck pickup's output.

The AZS2209H features a dyna-MIX5 switching system with Alter Switch, providing increased versatility and custom sounds to suit various playing styles.

The Gotoh®/Ibanez co-designed "In-Tune" saddles feature grooves that stop each string from slipping to the side. Rounded edges and deeper grooves on 1st and 6th strings mean less saddle tilting is needed to adjust the string height & ensure even string spacing. Pre-calculated "intonation points" reduce tuning issues. The 10.5mm string spacing facilitates picking across strings, while titanium guarantees clarity.

This steel pickup plate was crafted specifically for the AZS series. It contributes to the classic "Twangy" sound these guitars are renowned for, and it can be found on both the tremolo and hardtail variants of the AZS - a feature rare among guitars of this type. When coupled with the traditional style single-coil bridge pickup, this plate ensures the legendary sound of the AZS series is consistent across the lineup.

S-TECH WOOD Roasted Maple fretboard with Abalone dot inlay provides superior attack, balanced tone, and enriched sustain. The edge of the fingerboard is shaped for optimum playability and comfort.

The Oil-impregnated bone nut provides superior tuning stability and warm resonance, while the Stainless Steel frets exhibit superior corrosion resistance. The wide and tall frets guarantee quick response, allowing clean articulation when playing chords, and clear single-note tones.

The S-TECH treated Roasted Maple neck of the AZS2209H has been specially treated to increase durability, water resistance, and thermal stability. It's been finished with an oil coating to provide a familiar, well-worn sensation.

GOTOH® MAGNUM LOCK® machine heads provide reliable tuning stability, and their H.A.P.® (Height Adjustable Post) system enables users to adjust the string posts to the desired string tension.

Ibanez's Luminlay side dot inlays enable easy fretboard orientation while playing on a dimly lit stage, facilitating quick identification of position marks.s.

When the Alter switch is tilted downward, two hum tap mode is deactivated. Tilting the switch upward activates two hum tap mode. In two hum tap mode disabled, with the pickup selector switch in the neck position, only the neck pickup is active. In center position, the neck and bridge pickups are both active, with bridge pickup in parallel. In bridge position, only the bridge side of the neck and bridge pickups are active. In two hum tap mode enabled, with the pickup selector switch in neck position, only the neck pickup is active.
