The EHX Soul Preacher Compressor/Sustainer is a compact pedal designed to provide compression and sustain effects for your guitar playing. It offers variable parameters that allow you to make precise adjustments to the dynamic qualities of your playing, whether you prefer extreme or subtle compression.

The pedal features two knobs and a 3-way toggle switch to control different aspects of the effect. The first knob controls the output volume, allowing you to adjust the overall level of the compressed signal. This is useful for matching the volume of the compressed sound to your desired level.

The second knob controls the depth of the effect, determining the intensity or strength of the compression applied to your guitar signal. By adjusting this knob, you can dial in the desired amount of compression, ranging from gentle and transparent to more pronounced and squashed dynamics.

The 3-way toggle switch on the Soul Preacher allows you to adjust the attack and decay characteristics of the compression effect. This switch provides three options, which may vary depending on the specific model of the pedal. Typically, these options include settings like fast attack/fast decay, medium attack/medium decay, and slow attack/slow decay. These settings determine how quickly the compression engages when you play a note (attack) and how long it takes for the compression to release after you stop playing (decay).
