The DR-60DmkII from TASCAM is the ideal tool for capturing audio when shooting videos. It operates on four AA batteries or an optional battery pack to record up to four channels of 24-bit/96kHz audio directly onto an SD/SDHC/SDXC card. The unit is designed for use with DSLR cameras, with HDDA mic preamps and +64dB phantom power for connecting lavs, shotguns, bias mics, and studio condensers and dynamic mics. Each source boasts individual level knobs, as well as dual recording for the same source at different levels. Video-specific functions include slate and transport controls, 3-way low-cut, and a master limiter, plus Camera In/Out audio pass-through. The 128 x 64 LCD display allows for adjusting settings on location. And USB 2.0 provides stable power and straightforward file transfer.

The DR-60DmkII is the next generation of 4-track solid-state recording, based on TASCAM’s decades of recording innovation. The upgraded HDDA microphone preamps provide up to 64dB of gain, capturing every nuance of a performance. Up to four channels at a time can be recorded to the internal SD Card, at up to 96kHz/24-bit WAV file resolution. Two of the mic inputs utilize locking XLR connectors with 48V phantom power, the other two use an 1/8” stereo connector for wireless and lavaliere microphones.
