PRS HDRX 50 Guitar Amplifier Head
The 50-watt HDRX 50 amplifies the balanced, late '60s British tone, continuing PRS's HXDA line. This amp is equipped with a refined control layout and the "Authentic Hendrix" Touring Circuit, derived from a Hendrix amp Paul Reed Smith and Doug Sewell inspected in 2018.
Consistent clarity without harshness, and controllable aggression for sweet tones are hallmarks of the PRS HDRX. Two EL34EH pre-amp tubes, a Straight Edge output transformer, and a custom 50-watt transformer build on the 100-watt power supply to match the tonal character and output power more closely than typical 50-watt amplifiers. Additionally, the power supply and filament design keep hums and hisses to a minimum.
