About Yamaha Custom Flugelhorns
Yamaha Custom Flugelhorns are an exceptional combination of modern design techniques and old world hand craftsmanship. Classic flugelhorn designs such as vertical valve tubing and a movable mouthpiece receiver for flexible intonation accompany new features such as the ergonomically shaped third valve slide trigger, designed to accommodate a wider range of hand sizes. The newly designed leadpipes provide excellent response and intonation throughout the entire range of the instrument
YFH-8315G Model Options
Yamaha offers a number of variable options for select instruments.
- YFH-8315GS - Same as YFH-8315G; except silver-plated

- Brand new design: The YFH-8315G us a fresh and unique addition to the Yamaha flugelhorn lineup.
- New trigger system: The newly designed third valve slide trigger is more ergonomic and will accommodate a wider range of hand sizes.
- New leadpipe design: The YFH-8315G features a newly designed leadpipe, outer leadpipe area and a new connection brace between the leadpipe and the valve casing.
- Vertical valve tubing: Traditionally, flugelhorns are made with vertical valve tubing.
- Monel pistons: Monel pistons are resistant to corrosion and are an ideal choice for professional flugelhorn pistons which must retain precise fit and smooth action over many years.
- Hand-lapped pistons and slides: Hand-lapping pistons and slides ensures an absolutely perfect fit and seal between the pistons and casing or slide parts. Such a perfect fit helps to achieve smooth air flow and smooth action and improve the response and intonation of the instrument.
- Available features: The YFH-8315G flugelhorn is available in a silver-plated finish (YFH-8315GS).
