Following the success of the Gold Tone Banjitar line, players requested an on-stage solid body 6-string that can be played like a guitar. The ES-Banjitar offers an exceptionally fast response compared to a regular electric, enabling hammer-ons, pull-offs and slides with ease. Even without being plugged in, this instrument has a great banjo tone, as it has a hollow body sound chamber. Great for country music, blues, jazz - or any genre that desires a banjo sound, but without learning the traditional 5-string banjo. While at one time, 6-string banjos were deemed 'cheater' instruments for guitarists, today they are respected as a distinct instrument and can be heard in many popular music genres.
