Unlike its other wireless transmitter counterparts, the GLXD2/B58 utilizes a rechargeable lithium ion battery that can be charged directly in the receiver. Compared to the legendary SM58, the GLXD2/B58 microphone/transmitter has a more sensitive directional response because of the difference in polar pattern. This supercardioid polar pattern is ideal for situations where vocal clarity is at risk because of the venue or sound context or where vocal clarity is of utmost importance.
